The Cross Culture Learner Center "CCLC" in London celebrated its 50th anniversary.
50 years of service and support for the newcomers to Canada.
The celebration presented some success stories for refugees; one of them explained what he faced in his country, sharing his story with the attendees at the event.
He shared his experience as a child soldier, the rape of his mother, and sisters and the torture of his father. It was a powerful illustration of the trauma endured by refugees.
The CCLC management presented a certificate of appreciation to some employees to thank them for their contributions and remind them of the work they have done, and the positive effects they have had on the people around them.
The event was attended by a large number of employees and their guests.
The Cross Culture Learner Center has received "thousands and thousands" of newcomers over the past 50 years and keeps providing help and support to all newcomers to Canada.
